The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) is announcing the release of a new draft of the 13th edition of national accreditation Standards for Medical Transport programs. The new draft includes proposed changes resulting from comments and suggestions received during the past year. Because of the number and extent of the suggestions received to date, the expected publication in 2025 is being pushed out to the fall of 2026. Additional comments and suggestions are still being accepted and are greatly appreciated. The first edition of the Standards was published in 1990 and the Standards have evolved with input from those who work in the medical transport industry.

The pilot and one passenger were not injured, a second passenger sustained minor injuries, and a third passenger was seriously injured. APPLE VALLEY, CA – Dec. 30, 2024 – The Mercy Air program recently marked 35 years of providing life-saving air medical care throughout Nevada and California. To celebrate this milestone, Mercy Air 2, 22, 66, and H285 (based in Victorville, Hesperia, Barstow, and Big Bear) invited first responders, partners, and requestors to join them in commemorating this achievement at the Apple Valley Airport on Dec. 14. Among those attending the celebration was former pediatric patient Luke Haas and his family, who reunited with the air medical team that helped save his life more than two years ago.
