On March 17, 2022, about 1430 central daylight time, a Hughes (MD Helicopters) 369D helicopter, N500MZ, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Adair, Iowa. The commercial pilot sustained minor injury. The helicopter was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 133 external load flight.

Waterbury, VT (February 7, 2022) – GPMS International, which provides the helicopter industry’s most advanced Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) known as Foresight MX, announced today that it has received an FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the UH-60A Black Hawk platform. The company worked closely with PJ Helicopters during the STC process, where they will benefit from becoming the first Black Hawk operator to utilize Foresight MX’s advanced capabilities.

STRATFORD, Conn., – Australia will acquire 40 Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawks, which are designed and manufactured by Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company (NYSE: LMT). The deal between the Australian and United States governments for a foreign military sale of 40 UH-60Ms for the Australian Army is valued at approximately $1.95 billion. Deliveries are slated to begin early this year.
