WICHITA, Kan. (Jan. 27, 2025) — Textron Aviation today announced the first international sale of seven of its Beechcraft King Air 260 military multi-engine training aircraft. SkyAlyne and KF Aerospace selected the King Air 260 in support of the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program to train pilots for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). The FAcT program was awarded to SkyAlyne, a joint venture between CAE and KF Aerospace. King Air 260 deliveries for the FAcT program are expected to begin in the first half of 2028.

(NYSE: TXT) company, has completed wind tunnel testing at the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) at Wichita State University in support of the DARPA Speed and Runway Independent Technology (SPRINT) program. This test phase follows successful evaluation of the Stop/Fold rotor system using the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT) in New Mexico in 2023.

Fort Worth, TX (May 28, 2023) Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, has been down-selected for Phase 1B of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Speed and Runway Independent Technologies (SPRINT) X-Plane program. The SPRINT program intends to design, build, and fly an X-Plane, an experimental aircraft to demonstrate enabling technologies and integrated concepts necessary for a transformational combination of aircraft speed and runway independence for the next generation of air mobility platforms. In Phase 1A, Bell executed conceptual design review and will move into preliminary design efforts for the SPRINT X-plane.
