WASHINGTON — The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) today announced that BETA Technologies and United Therapeutics Corporation, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, flight-tested organ medical-transport capabilities from Virginia to Maryland. SEA, a leader in law enforcement aircraft modifications, is pleased to deliver a mission ready Bell 505 to the Flagler County Sheriff Office (FCSO). The aircraft was modified to include an expanded instrument panel with the MacroBlue MB15W NVIS/Touchscreen monitor, a Technisonic TDFM-9100 tactical radio, a three-place PS Engineering PAC-45 mission audio distribution system, and a Garmin GTX-345 ADS-B Out/In transponder. For ISR operations, SEA installed the Trakka mission suite to include the TC-300 EO/IR sensor, TC100 Mapping Computer, TLX Searchlight and TrakkaStream for Video Downlink capability. The full cockpit was also upgraded and certified for NVIS operations via existing STC, held by Aero Dynamix Inc. (ADI).
