Croatia Triples Black Hawk Fleet With Purchase Of Eight Additional Helicopters

STRATFORD, Conn., July, 12 2024 – Croatia has officially purchased eight additional UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters built by Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company (NYSE: LMT), via U.S. government Foreign Military Sale, bringing the country’s Black Hawk fleet total to 12. The deal, which includes aircraft, organizational equipment, spare and repair parts, and associated support equipment, is a critical investment by Croatia and significantly bolsters its self-defense and security in the region and that of the NATO alliance.

On April 9, 2023, at 0845 central daylight time, a Helicopteres Guimbal Cabri G2, N372PA, was involved in an accident near Cahokia, Illinois. The helicopter sustained substantial damage. The flight instructor received minor injuries and the student pilot was uninjured. The helicopter was operated under Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 as an instructional flight.
