On February 6, 2023, about 2140 mountain standard time, a Bell OH-58A helicopter, N36FA, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Yuma, Arizona. The commercial pilot sustained minor injuries. The helicopter was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 137aerial application flight.

The pilot reported that he was not satisfied with the helicopter’s alignment on the mobile helipad during landing and elected to complete a second attempt. During the second landing, he lost control of the helicopter as it settled onto the helipad. The helicopter ascended, rolled to the right, and then impacted the ground on its skids which resulted in substantial damage to the fuselage, main rotor blades, and tailrotor blades. There were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the helicopter that would have precluded normal operation.

Donauwörth, Germany, 18 November 2024 – Less than a year after the contract was signed, Airbus Helicopters has delivered the first of up to 82 H145Ms ordered by Germany at its Donauwörth site. The Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) have named their new H145Ms “Leichter Kampfhubschrauber” (light combat helicopter), or LKH for short. The helicopter's missions include training, reconnaissance, special forces operations and light attack.
