NTSB Final Report: North Myrtle Beach, SC

On May 26, 2022, about 1340 eastern daylight time, a Robinson R44 helicopter, N132TC, operated by High Tide Helicopters LLC, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The flight instructor and the student pilot were not injured. The helicopter was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 instructional flight.

Lockheed Martin Boosts Domestic Microelectronics Capabilities For Pentagon Aerial Defense Program

OWEGO, N.Y. April. 8, 2024 – Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) will work with Intel Corporation (Nasdaq: INTC), and Altera, an Intel Company, to support the Stimulating Transition for Advanced Microelectronics Packaging (STAMP) program for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E). Lockheed Martin will develop a low size, weight, and power (SWaP), Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) aligned airborne electronic defense system, utilizing Altera’s Multi-Chip Package (MCP2) for expected use on the U.S. Navy’s MH-60R multi-mission helicopter. The project was awarded through the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division Strategic & Spectrum Missions Advanced Resilient Trusted Systems (S2MARTS) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) vehicle and will be managed by the National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL).

Colombian Air Force awards ITP Aero its Black Hawk helicopter fleet engine MRO contract

ITP Aero has signed a contract with the Colombian Ministry of Defence for the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) of the T700 engines that power its Armed Forces' fleet of Black Hawk helicopters. The contract will run until June 2026 and the MRO services for the engines will be carried out at ITP Aero's facilities in Albacete (Spain).

The Honduran Ministry of Defense acquires two additional H145 helicopters

Santiago de Chile - The Ministry of Defense of Honduras has acquired two additional Airbus H145 helicopters, which will be operated by the Honduran Air Force to perform passenger and cargo transport, search and rescue, firefighting, medical evacuation, and other essential missions in the region. This new purchase follows an initial order signed in April 2023 for two H145s that will be delivered before the end of 2024.
