Avports and Jaunt Air Mobility Announce Alliance to Incorporate All Electric Air Taxis to Airport Operations

Dulles, VA, January 31, 2022… Avports announced today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Jaunt Air Mobility ("Jaunt") to join their Access Skyways infrastructure alliance to support the integration of eVTOL (electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing) aircraft with airports and the aviation ecosystem. NTSB Preliminary Report: Drexel Hill, PA

On January 11, 2022, about 1255 eastern standard time, a Eurocopter EC-135 P2+, N531LN, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. The airline transport pilot was seriously injured. The two medical crewmembers and the patient were not injured. The helicopter was operated by Air Methods Corporation as a Title14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 135 air ambulance flight.

Appareo Granted Part 27 STC AML for New 4K Ultra HD Flight Data Recorder

FARGO, North Dakota (January 26, 2022) — Appareo today announced the certification of AIRS-400, its 4K ultra-high-definition Airborne Image Recording System. AIRS-400 has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), for Airbus AS350, Bell 206, and Bell 407. AIRS-400 is one of the easiest FDM devices to install because it is a small, self-contained system requiring only aircraft power, ground, and GPS antenna connections.
