Donauwörth, 7 March 2024 – Airbus has presented its full electric CityAirbus NextGen prototype to the public, ahead of its maiden flight later this year. The two-tonne class CityAirbus, with a wing span of approximately 12 metres, is being developed to fly with a 80 km range and to reach a cruise speed of 120 km/h, making it perfectly suited for operations in major cities for a variety of missions.

Anaheim, 28 February 2024 – Air Center Helicopters, Inc (ACHI) has signed an Airbus HCare In-Service contract to support their fleet of 18 H225 helicopters for the next five years. ACHI uses the versatile H225 aircraft to carry out a wide range of missions across the globe, including but not limited to expeditionary airlift, personnel recovery, search and rescue, medevac/casevac, Department of Defense real world scenario training, ship-based services, and disaster relief.

As the first HEMS operator in Europe, DRF Luftrettung plans to introduce the "Powered Aero Loader" (PAL)™ developed by HeliMods on its H145 helicopters. The PAL™ is an electro-hydraulic stretcher loading system operated at the push of a button, which allows rapid loading and unloading of ambulance stretchers into rescue helicopters. Furthermore, both parties are seeking a distribution partnership with the aim of introducing and distributing the PAL™ on the European market. DRF Luftrettung and HeliMods signed a corresponding Letter of Intent (LoI) yesterday at the HAI Heli-Expo helicopter exhibition in Anaheim, USA.
