NTSB Final Report: Anchorage, AK

On March 5, 2023, about 1400 Alaska Standard Time, an Enstrom F-28C Helicopter, N5688R, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident in Anchorage, Alaska. The pilot and passengers were not injured. The helicopter was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight.

NTSB Final Report: Oshkosh, WI

On July 29, 2023, about 1227 central daylight time (CDT), a Rotorway 162F helicopter, N193AZ, and an ELA Eclipse 10 gyroplane, N221EL, were involved in a midair collision near Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The helicopter was destroyed, and the pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The gyroplane was destroyed, and the pilot and passenger received serious injuries. Both aircraft were operated as Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flights.

PHI to add the AW189 Super Medium Helicopter to its global fleet

Leonardo and PHI Group (PHI) have signed a framework agreement for 12 AW189 Helicopters to serve the global energy market starting in 2025. These are composed of firm orders as well as purchase options and include an extensive support partnership featuring a service center agreement, MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) agreement, and training solutions for the AW139 and AW189 models.

Greece to boost emergency response capabilities with three AW139 helicopters

The Hellenic Ministry for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection is enhancing its emergency response capabilities by introducing three Leonardo AW139 intermediate twin engine helicopters. Under the recently signed contract, the new aircraft are expected to be delivered in 2026 with two units dedicated to healthcare missions and disaster relief and one unit to be used for transportation of the crisis management teams. The order also includes a comprehensive technical, logistical support, and training package. The AW139s will be operated by the Fire Brigade on behalf of the Ministry from a base in Attica.
