Covington, GA, Dec 19, 2024 - Archer Aviation Inc. (NYSE : ACHR) announced today that earlier this week it received the certificate of occupancy for its high-volume manufacturing facility, ARC, which is connected to the Covington Municipal Airport in Georgia. Archer is now working to complete the tooling load-in for the initial manufacturing line at this facility. Production is planned to begin in early 2025, with the goal of ramping to a rate of two aircraft per month by the end of the year.

The pilot of the helicopter was practicing hovering and maneuvering just above the surface of the ground, around a cone. The pilot stated that because he was focused on the cone and not the helicopter’s altitude, the rear portion of the right skid contacted the ground resulting in dynamic rollover. The helicopter’s tailboom was substantially damaged during the accident. The pilot reported there were no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures of the helicopter that would have precluded normal operation.

Marignane, France, 3 March 2025 - The H125‘s single pilot instrument flight rules (IFR) capability has been certified by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), paving the way for first deliveries in 2025 from Airbus Helicopters’ assembly line in Columbus, Mississippi. This new feature, developed in collaboration with Moog´s Genesys Aerosystems, consists of an upgraded cockpit and a new autopilot along with redundant hydraulic and electrical systems.
