Amsterdam - Airbus and Østnes Helicopters, the official distributor for Airbus Helicopters in the Nordic countries, announced a contract for ten Airbus H125s at this year's European Rotors. Salt Lake City, Utah, 5 November 2024 – Global Medical Response (GMR) has placed an order for 28 Airbus helicopters, including six H125s, five H130s, 14 H135s and three H145s, as it continues expanding its air medical fleet. Following GMR’s order of five Airbus helicopters earlier in 2024, the company will operate a fleet of nearly 200 Airbus helicopters, reinforcing its position as one of the largest operators of Airbus helicopters in North America.

As the first HEMS operator in Europe, DRF Luftrettung plans to introduce the "Powered Aero Loader" (PAL)™ developed by HeliMods on its H145 helicopters. The PAL™ is an electro-hydraulic stretcher loading system operated at the push of a button, which allows rapid loading and unloading of ambulance stretchers into rescue helicopters. Furthermore, both parties are seeking a distribution partnership with the aim of introducing and distributing the PAL™ on the European market. DRF Luftrettung and HeliMods signed a corresponding Letter of Intent (LoI) yesterday at the HAI Heli-Expo helicopter exhibition in Anaheim, USA.

Customers using GPMS’s Foresight MX have already benefited from powerful, predictive HUMS. Madrid, 29 November 2023 – Airbus Helicopters and the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service have announced a contract for three five-bladed H145 multi-mission helicopters at the 2023 European Rotors trade show, expanding the service's fleet. These three additional H145s bring the total number of Airbus helicopters in service with the Lithuanian government to eleven, further strengthening Airbus Helicopters’ position in this mission segment. The helicopters will be operated for a wide range of missions including search and rescue, disaster relief and medevac, border patrol, firefighting, transport of donor organs, and operational deployment of the Lithuanian Special Forces.

Madrid, Airbus Helicopters and Lithuanian operator ASU BALTIJA have announced a contract for two H125s at European Rotors 2023. They are the first Airbus helicopters sold to a commercial operator in the country, and will also be the first two H125 family helicopters deployed in Lithuania. The H125s replace helicopters manufactured in Russia and will be used for passenger transport and utility missions in Lithuania and other markets abroad.
