Midwest Aerospace, LTD Celebrates Grand Opening of Midwest Blade Tech on May 1st

May 1, 2026 – Midwest Aerospace, LTD., a leader in helicopter parts and MRO services, proudly announces the official opening of Midwest Blade Tech, its new state-of-the-art facility dedicated to main and tail rotor blade repair and servicing. Located at the company’s headquarters in Lowell, Indiana, the facility expands Midwest’s capabilities to meet growing demand for high-quality rotor blade maintenance and advanced repair solutions.

Midwest Blade Tech serves as the exclusive distributor of Rotorcraft Repair and Manufacturing’s proprietary Dragon Skin Extreme (DSX) coating. Backed by more than eight years of FAA testing and proven performance across a wide range of aircraft, DSX has established itself as a leading solution for erosion and corrosion protection. With over 5,000 operating hours in harsh environments—including agricultural, firefighting, medical, humanitarian, and military operations—DSX delivers exceptional durability and extends the lifespan and performance of rotor blades.

The new facility combines advanced technology, specialized equipment, and a team of highly experienced technicians to provide repairs that meet and exceed industry performance and safety standards. By integrating DSX into its service offerings, Midwest Blade Tech strengthens Midwest Aerospace’s ability to deliver innovative, long-lasting solutions to rotorcraft operators worldwide.

“We built Midwest Blade Tech to raise the standard for rotor blade repair,” said Joseph L. Giannini, Vice President, Midwest Aerospace. “With the right people, the right equipment, and proven solutions like DSX, we’re delivering results our customers can depend on.”

“Midwest Blade Tech is the right partner to bring DSX to a broader market,” said Seth Hardage, Rotorcraft Repair and Manufacturing. “They have the experience, capability, and commitment to apply DSX the way it was designed—delivering real performance and long-term protection in the field.”

The opening of Midwest Blade Tech marks another milestone in Midwest Aerospace’s continued growth and investment in the future of aviation support services.
