
BOWLING GREEN Kentucky Recoil Aerospace Inc. (Recoil) announces approval of 1000-gallon capacity for its Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SR02584AK for the UH-60 Black Hawk Tsunami External Wildfire Suppression Tank.
Recoil adds this expanded capacity approval to its wide-ranging list of existing international certifications.

This breakthrough STC is applicable to all UH-60 type certificate holders as well as all model variants of the UH-60 and S-70 Black Hawk.
“With multiple STCs approved, we can offer Black Hawk operators this proven, US-made aerial firefighting solution for the current and upcoming wildfire seasons,” states Recoil President Joseph Rice.
“Our rapid installation, full tank retraction and the industry’s fastest approved airspeed allows high-volume water delivery with rapid turnarounds.”
The approval means U.S. firefighting programs can add this expanded-capacity tank immediately for best outcomes in aerial firefighting.
Recoil AFSS tanks are available for immediate acquisition.

1,000-Gallon/4,000-Liter Capacity, Aerospace Carbon Fiber Construction, 130 Knot VNE, Pulse Lights, NVG / NVIS IR Lights, 132-Liter Integrated Foam Tank, Install / Removal in Minutes, Minimal Airframe Modification, Reduced Pilot Training Time, Tsunami Tank Crew Orientation Training, Global Customer Support and Service.
The low-profile Tsunami External Tank mounts directly to the fuselage, requiring no modifications to the helicopter landing gear.
Recoil Tsunami tanks are manufactured in partnership with Kentucky-based Aerospace Composites Solutions (ACS) which operates an AS9100-Certified Manufacturing facility.
