BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky, March 11, 2025 Recoil Aerospace Inc. (Recoil), a leading company in aerial fire suppression systems (AFSS) and aviation liquid utility tanks, has expanded its service levels in the Asia Pacific region with a key management promotion.
Recoil is pleased to announce Gina Pak as the company’s Senior Vice President Asia-Pacific.
Pak leads Recoil’s services to key public safety, military and commercial clients across the Asia Pacific region, providing leading customer service/MRO operations from its facility in Seoul, Korea.
The Republic of Korea’s 119 Rescue Program operates the Recoil Tsunami AFSS in its H225 Super Puma fleet, fighting fires during the past year.
“Gina represents Recoil’s commitment to excellence in customer service and support globally,” states Recoil President Joseph Rice. “Her many years of business and operations experience reinforce our focus on clients and their vital operations across the Asia Pacific market.”
US-based Recoil offers both internal and external AFSS tank systems for the UH-60 Black Hawk series and H225 Super Puma helicopters. And its breakthrough carbon fiber U1000 Utility Tank product line covers a wide variety of fixed wing and rotary wing military applications.
Recoil’s Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SR02584AK for the H225 Super Puma helicopter represents the only tank approved for operations with that aircraft.
Kentucky-based Recoil has a wide-ranging list of existing international approvals. The Recoil H225 STC is already in place in the United States and Canada as well as the Republic of Korea, Brazil, Morocco, Australia and other regions.
Tsunami AFSS units are available for acquisition for 2025 global firefighting operations.
Key features of the tank systems include underside fuselage mounting, retractable tank design, fastest airspeed available and rapid hover-filling for both the external and internal AFSS options..
A performance upgrade in capabilities from legacy external water buckets, firefighting crews operating the Recoil AFSS are able to fly over urban population centers without the hazard of underslung, jettisonable loads.
The T1000-E tank boasts a 1,000-gallon capacity, a quick 35-40 second fill time, an impressive 5-second drop time, all while maintaining a system weight of just 550 pounds thanks to its unique lightweight carbon fiber design. And the UH-60 Internal AFSS allows for either hover filling or ground filling from a pump or fire apparatus.
In addition, Recoil provides full support including its “Recoil Aerial Firefighting Academy” training program from its Bowling Green, Kentucky headquarters.
Team Recoil is at VAI’s 2025 Verticon Conference in Dallas and looks forward to discussing features of its Tsunami AFSS with attendees.
Recoil is a proud US-based company, designing and supporting all of its industry-leading, innovative product line in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
