Dallas, TEXAS: March 10, 2025 – The Jeff Pino Foundation (JPF) is proud to announce that 100 students from Texas and Oklahoma will attend Verticon 2025 in Dallas on March 13. This initiative, in collaboration with Vertical Aviation International, provides students passionate about aviation and STEM fields with the unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge innovations at the most influential event in the rotorcraft industry.
This year, students from Byng District (Oklahoma), Dubiski Career High School, and Civil Air Patrol (both based in Texas) have been selected to attend. These schools were chosen due to dedicated curriculums focused on aviation disciplines, positioning them to benefit from the hands-on learning experience and networking opportunities available at the event.
In addition, three former JPF Scholarship recipients will attend to meet with the students, share their experiences, and participate in the event. These students have gone on to achieve success in their aviation careers, with one now working as an air traffic controller and the other two having obtained their pilot’s licenses and continuing their education in aeronautical engineering. Their presence will offer invaluable mentorship and inspiration to the next generation of aviation professionals.
“Verticon offers an incredible platform for students to connect with the innovators and experts shaping the future of aviation,” said Greg Brown, Director of Education and Training Services at Vertical Aviation International (VAI). “By immersing themselves in this dynamic environment, students gain exposure to the latest technologies and practices in the rotorcraft industry, inspiring and helping to guide their future career paths.”
Greg Allen, Chairman and CEO of the Jeff Pino Foundation, emphasized the event’s importance for young learners: “Our goal at JPF is to fuel the curiosity and passion of the next generation of aviation professionals. Verticon is the perfect setting for students to witness firsthand how innovation drives this ever-evolving industry. We're excited to see these students engage directly with the leaders and technologies that are defining the future of aviation.”
In addition to facilitating student attendance at events like Verticon, the Jeff Pino Foundation continues to invest in the next generation of aviation professionals through scholarships for students pursuing degrees in aviation, pilot certifications, and aircraft maintenance. The Foundation also supports educational programs like Aero Explorers, #Hangar10, and Camp Soar, which foster hands-on learning and real-world exposure to aerospace careers.
Founded in honor of Jeff Pino, a beloved figure in the aviation community, the Foundation is committed to providing opportunities that encourage students to explore careers in aviation. Jeff Pino's legacy is a testament to the power of mentorship and access to education for the aviation leaders of tomorrow.
