Middlefield, Ohio — March 5, 2025 — Airwolf Aerospace has received supplemental type certificate (STC) approval from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC) for the installation of True Blue Power® TB20 lithium-ion batteries in Airbus AS350/H125 and AS355 helicopters.

This new STC follows recent Airwolf lithium-ion battery installation STCs from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Transport Canada, and Brazil, resulting in the STCs listed below.

Field-proven, Technical Standard Order (TSO)-certified True Blue Power® lithium-ion batteries, provide significant advantages:

Lower weight. Up to 63 percent lighter, increases useful load.

Faster, cooler, engine starts. Higher voltage for reliable powerful starts. Don’t be let down by your current battery.

Extremely fast charging. Have a fully topped-off battery four to 10 minutes after start.

Longer life, Eight-year average. Stop replacing batteries frequently.

Reduced maintenance. Two-year maintenance cycle (TB17), On condition (TB20). No more excessive damaging cap checks and NiCad maintenance.

Extreme-cold capable. Automatic built-in heater. No need to take the battery with you in extremely cold weather.

Reliability. Don’t risk a hot start or being let down with older battery technologies.

Airwolf is pleased to be exhibiting at Verticon booth 7112 and is looking forward to speaking to operators and maintenance providers about the STCs that they currently hold, upcoming approvals of higher Amperage battery sizes, additional battery locations, and new STCs for additional helicopter and fixed wing aircraft.
