Entrol, the manufacturer of EASA and FAA certified FNPT, FTD, and FFS flight simulators, has successfully completed the installation of two state-of-the-art H1000 simulators at Korea Aviation High School. This landmark project enhances the institution’s training capabilities, providing aspiring pilots with cutting-edge tools to excel in their initial aviation training.
Innovative technology for initial training
The H1000 simulators, classified as Advanced Aviation Training Devices (AATD) and based on the Bell 505 helicopter, feature a compact design tailored for operational efficiency and student accessibility. Key specifications include:
● Realistic cabin design: Fully equipped dual-control Bell 505 cabins, designed without windows or doors to maximize focus on instrumentation and procedure training.
● Advanced visual systems: Cylindrical visuals with a 200ºx40º field of view, powered by X-plane 11, ensuring unparalleled clarity and immersion.
● Extensive database: A high-definition visual database covering key airports, including Incheon (RKSI), Gimpo (RKSS), and Singapore Changi (WSSS), as well as major global hubs like Zurich (LSZH) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG).
● Compact instructor station: A reduced-size Instructor Operating Station (IOS) for streamlined operation and monitoring.
These features are specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern aviation training, allowing students to practice real-world scenarios in a controlled, safe environment.
A strategic collaboration
The installation of these simulators followed a successful bid for a public tender in South Korea, underscoring Entrol’s reputation as a trusted provider of high-quality simulation solutions. Now operational, the simulators are integral to Korea Aviation High School’s curriculum, focusing on preparing students for the challenges of a professional aviation career.
Juanjo Lechosa, Business Manager at Entrol, stated: "This project marks a significant achievement for Entrol as we continue to expand our presence in Asia. By equipping Korea Aviation High School with advanced simulation technology, we are supporting the development of highly skilled pilots who are ready to meet the demands of the aviation industry."
Setting new standards in aviation education
Korea Aviation High School is recognized as a leading institution for aviation education in South Korea, renowned for its commitment to excellence in training and innovation. The integration of Entrol’s H1000 simulators enhances the school’s ability to deliver world-class instruction, solidifying its position as a pioneer in the field.
