U.S. Navy Awards Sikorsky Contract To Build Nine More CH-53K™ Heavy Lift Helicopters In Connecticut

Stratford, Conn. – Utilizing proven advanced manufacturing techniques and continuing to drive down unit price, Sikorsky will build nine more CH-53K™ heavy lift helicopters under a new contract for the U.S. Navy. This production award also includes an agreement for the next production contract at an even lower unit price which will decrease further if additional quantity options are exercised, resulting in significant savings for the U.S. government and taxpayers.

Leonardo delivers first TH-73A training helicopter to U.S. Navy

Philadelphia, 10 June 2021 – At a ceremony on its Philadelphia campus and under the backdrop of the Stars and Stripes, Leonardo officially delivered the first TH-73A training helicopter to the U.S. Navy earlier today. The ceremony was attended by Vice Admiral Kenneth Whitesell, commander of Naval Air Forces and Commander, Naval Air Force U.S. Pacific Fleet; Rear Admiral Gregory Harris, Director of Air Warfare Division (N98); and Captain Holly Shoger, Program Manager of Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems Program. Also attending the ceremony was Leonardo Helicopters Managing Director Gian Piero Cutillo and members of local, state and federal elected delegations, including Congressman Donald Norcross and Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney.

April 8, 2021 URBANA, IL. - FRASCA International, Inc. (FRASCA) has been named as a subcontractor for the US Navy TH-73A Aircrew Training Services (ATS) Contract. The prime contract was awarded to FlightSafety Defense, a FlightSafety International Company that will provide Contractor Instructional Services (CIS) and availability on 18 FRASCA-designed and manufactured Level 6 and Level 7 Flight Training Devices (FTDs).
