GPMS International has announced the successful first installation of its industry-leading Foresight MX Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) on HALO-Flight's Bell 407GXi, marking a major milestone in the helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) sector. With this installation, HALO-Flight becomes the first HEMS operator in the United States to equip its fleet with Foresight MX, reinforcing its commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence. Alexandria, Virginia (Jun. 5, 2025) – Vertical Aviation International (VAI) yesterday provided testimony to the US House Subcommittee on Aviation during the hearing titled “FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024: Stakeholder Perspectives on Implementation One Year Later.” The association called for the prompt implementation of rules to support low-altitude IFR operations for rotorcraft and powered-lift aircraft—both to enhance safety and to prepare for the integration of next-generation vertical flight aircraft.
