Leonardo celebrated a significant milestone with the 100th delivery of the TH-73A Thrasher helicopter to the United States Navy on September 17 at a ceremony in Northeast Philadelphia. Attendees included Vice Adm. Daniel L. Cheever, Commander, Naval Air Forces/Commander, Naval Air Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet and Lt. Gen. Bradford Gering, Deputy Commandant for Aviation for the U.S. Marine Corps, along with a crowd of over one hundred dignitaries representing government, military, and nonprofit institutions.

Fairfax, Virginia, USA, Aug. 28, 2024 — On Sept. 17-18, 2024, the Vertical Flight Society (VFS) is hosting its 8th Workshop on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Infrastructure at the US Navy Memorial Visitor Center in downtown Washington, DC. The workshop is focused on understanding and developing infrastructure to support electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, and is being held in support of the efforts by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and industry to develop eVTOL vertiports.

BETHESDA, Md. – Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) supported a successful government test of the Advanced Off-Board Electronic Warfare (AOEW) system’s electronic attack capabilities while installed on a U.S. Navy MH-60R helicopter. This marked the first time in the program’s development the system was able to perform engagement testing, demonstrate the ability to deter threats, and quantify system performance, while integrated and controlled by the target platform.

OWEGO, N.Y., October 12, 2023 – Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a contract from the U.S. Navy to produce eight Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk® helicopters for the Spanish Navy (Armada). Designed, built and integrated with advanced missions systems and sensors for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, the future Armada MH-60R aircraft will significantly upgrade and broaden the range of maritime capabilities currently performed by its SH-60B SEAHAWK fleet. Sikorsky is a Lockheed Martin company.
