PHOENIX – Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) today launched the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry’s first certification reference guide across key vehicle segments. Complex regulations are being developed to enable the certification and operations of crewed and uncrewed AAM vehicles designed to transport people and cargo. FAA Releases Vertiport Design Standards to Support the Safe Integration of Advanced Air Mobility Aircraft

WASHINGTON − The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) today released new design guidelines for vertiports, infrastructure that will support Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft. The design standards will serve as the initial step to provide key information for airport owners, operators and infrastructure developers to begin development of facilities that will support operations of AAM aircraft that are electrically powered and take-off and land vertically.

Joint FAA and United Kingdom CAA Statement on eVTOL Aircraft

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority recognize the potential of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) and other Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft to significantly benefit the public. To support future eVTOL aircraft development and operation, the US and UK civil aviation authorities are engaged in a range of bilateral and multilateral discussions focused on facilitating certification and validating new eVTOL aircraft, production, continued airworthiness, operations, and personnel licensing.
