The FAA has published a Federal Register Notice (FRN) regarding 14 CFR Part 25 Cessna Citation CE-500 series aircraft. Based on the evaluation of safety concerns, single-pilot operations under the previous exemption authority are no longer authorized.
Operational Requirements:
- Logbook endorsements authorizing single-pilot ops in CE-500 series aircraft are no longer valid.
- All CE-500 series operations must be conducted with a required two-pilot flight crew in accordance with type certification standards.
- Continued single-pilot operation without updated authorization constitutes regulatory noncompliance under 14 CFR Part 91.
