The NBAA announced on July 20th that Emily Deaton will be joining the association as senior VP for product development and sales. She will be leading the creation of new member offerings, launching new products and services and building industry relationships. The role is a new one at the association. Bolen stated that it was created to expand the NBAA's support as new modes of flight, new business models and a new generation of customers and workforce professionals join the aviation industry. "We are incredibly excited for the entrepreneurial drive Emily is bringing to this new role at NBAA," said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. "She is a dynamic growth leader, with a hands-on work ethic and proven track record. She is exceptionally qualified for this new position on NBAA's leadership team as the association redoubles its focus on serving its members in a moment of rapid change for the industry in the U.S. and around the world." Deaton has spent the past four years as CEO of jetAVIVA, one of the largest and fastest-growing aircraft brokerages. Under her leadership, the company expanded into more aircraft categories and built sales partnerships across five continents. jetAVIVA Chief Financial Officer Kathy Oberbroeckling will now serve as Interim CEO. Before she was at jetAVIVA, Deaton was a business development manager at Embraer Executive Jets. She was named to NBAA's Business Aviation Top 40 Under 40 in 2022 and holds a public relations degree from the University of Florida. Additionally, serves on the board of Angel Flight West and the International Aircraft Dealers Association. "It has been my great honor to lead the jetAVIVA team," said Deaton.
