The Honda Aircraft Company announced on Tuesday that its HondaJet APMG S upgrade package is now certified by Mexico's Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC).
HondaJet Classic and APMG owners in Mexico will be able to upgrade their jets with technology and systems that were introduced in its newer models. The company's official HondaJet distributor for Mexico, AVEMEX, is now offering the APMG S upgrade package as part of its MRO services. The Honda Aircraft Company already has several pre-owned HondaJet aircraft with APMG S upgrades installed that are available through its pre-owned aircraft program. The package is also available through the company's Greensboro, NC Service Center as well as its global network of 21 Authorized Service Centers.
The package is for owners and operators of HondaJet Classic and HondaJet APMG (Advanced Performance Modification Group) aircraft to upgrade their jets with technical innovations introduced with more recent models, like the HondaJet Elite S. It includes enhancements such as the Advanced Steering Augmentation System (ASAS), which supports handling precision and expands crosswind capability. Operators will also receive a 300-pound increase in maximum takeoff weight and new avionics software and hardware for faster processing speeds.
