The FAA has released the 2026 NOTAM for EAA's AirVenture at the Wittman Regional Airport (OSH) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The NOTAM, commonly referred to as the Oshkosh NOTAM, has the arrival and departure procedures for the fly-in convention. The notice outlines procedures for the multiple types of aircraft that fly to the event and for aircraft that will land at nearby airports. The FAA designs the Oshkosh NOTAM to assist pilots when planning for their flights to AirVenture. It goes into effect on July 16 at noon CDT and ends on July 27 at noon.
"The most essential information for any pilot flying to Oshkosh involves reading and thoroughly understanding the 2026 AirVenture Notice to ensure safe operations on arrival and departure," said Sean Elliott, EAA VP of advocacy and safety. "We urge all pilots to adequate prepare prior to their trip to Oshkosh and consider such things as our AirVenture arrival flight review so they have the proficiency and confidence to fly safely."

EAA states that while many of the procedures are similar to previous years, there are updates to improve safety, efficiency and convenience. The NOTAM is considered required reading and the association encourages all pilots to check NOTAMs and Notices for current temporary flight restrictions (TFR) that may affect their flight route. Pilots can download a digital version of the Notice here, or order a free printed copy.
There will be transition points at Endeavor Bridge, Puckaway Lake, and Green Lake that are meant to ease holding and congestion. ATC will activate them when traffic flow is the highest and announce it on the arrival ATIS. EAA will also be hosting a webinar on June 17 at 7 p.m. CDT that will go over the changes added to the NOTAM.Pilots flying to Oshkosh for AirVenture can also check out Globalair.com's 2026 Oshkosh FBO Fuel Deals andamp; Specials.
