Embraer has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Colombian Aeronautical Industry Corporation (CIAC) at FIDAE.
The goal of the partnership is to strengthen Colombia's aerospace industry. Fabio Caparica, VP of contracts at Embraer Defense andamp; Security, claims that it will allow the company to evaluate opportunities to integrate CIAC into its global production chains. Colombia is an important market for Embraer in all segments. There are a total of 50 Embraer aircraft operating in Colombia, including 24 A-29 Super Tucanos.
"The signing of this MoU strengthens the relationship built over the years with CIAC and paves the way for a possible expansion of technical and industrial cooperation across Embraer's portfolio, which includes the A-29 Super Tucano and the KC-390 Millennium," said Caparica.
