Joby completes final international flight demonstration of 2025 in Japan

Joby announced on Monday that it has completed its final international flight demonstration of 2025 at the Fuji Speedway in Japan. The company states it has flown more than 850 flights and over 9,000 miles across its air taxi fleet in 2025, equaling a 2.6x increase in operations compared to 2024. Joby claims this increase is vital to validating the aircraft's design and manufacturing processes. Notable flights include a point-to-point flight between the Marina Municipal Airport (OAR) and the Salinas Municipal Airport (SNS) at the California International Airshow and 41 flights at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. It was also the only eVTOL aircraft to fly at the Dubai Airshow. "2025 saw the most extensive and rigorous flight testing in our history," said James "Buddy" Denham, Joby Chief Test Pilot. "Flying in active, controlled airspace in three countries this year - from the California coastline to the iconic Fuji Speedway and the deserts of Dubai - has been a powerful showcase of Joby's operational maturity."
