Tecnam has announced the launch of the P2008JC Next Generation (NG).
The aircraft is certified to the EASA CS-23 airworthiness standards and is designed for Flight Training Organizations (FTOs). Its airframe is made with Tecnam's Hybrid Airframe Technology with a carbon-fibre fuselage and metal wings and stabilator. The company claims the metal wings are resistant to hangar rash and can be easily repaired, while its Rotax 912 iSc engine burns 58% less fuel than legacy trainers."The P2008JC NG represents a significant leap in training safety," said Managing Director Giovanni Pascale Langer. "By certifying to the latest CS-23 Amendment 6 standards, we have enhanced the aircraft's safety characteristics, specifically at very low speeds—the typical mission profile for ab-initio training. We needed an aircraft that works hard, consumes little, and inspires confidence. This is the only trainer on the market that combines superior safety of CS-23, state-of-the-art avionics, and the unbeatable efficiency of modern injection technology."Other features of the P2008JC NG include:
a redesigned central console
improved seatbelts
an optional autopilot
And a wide cabinRELATED STORIES:
