Nimbl releases 2026 flight dept. prep checklist, providing operators guidance for the New Year

(Rockville, Maryland, December 9th, 2025) - As operators approach the new year, Nimbl is offering guidance on how to stay ahead of flight operation responsibilities and execute a 2026 plan that will ensure thorough safety management and operational preparedness. The ‘2026 Flight Department Prep Checklist' provides an easy-to-follow review process that not only helps identify, evaluate, and address key operational areas but also strengthens compliance and overall operational performance before the new year even begins. Nimbl's team of compliance and safety experts emphasizes that proactive reviews of aircraft fleet changes, key personnel movement, MEL regulatory updates, ERP responsibilities and effectiveness, and LOA requirements in advance are essential to maintaining safe and compliant operations. Nimbl also reinforces that having a formalized Safety Management System in place to manage operational risk reporting and safety documentation reduces the probability of encountering safety hazards before and after taking flight. "With the new year approaching, it's the ideal time for operators to take a hard look at their current procedures," said Mark Baier, Nimbl CEO. "Identifying operational gaps early and making the necessary adjustments is crucial to avoiding disruptions and keeping operations running safely and seamlessly." With Nimbl's ‘2026 Flight Department prep Checklist,' multiple courses of action are recommended to aid operators in running a safe operation. This includes holding internal meetings, distributing safety bulletins, enforcing a work culture that rewards safety reporting, and enforcing fatigue risk management for flight and maintenance personnel. While Nimbl reminds operators that this checklist serves as a lighter version of a fully implemented internal audit, it is a very effective process for revisiting an operators' departmental structure, procedures, and safety operations mission.
