GAMA publishes aircraft shipping and billing report for third quarter of 2025

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) released its third-quarter 2025 Aircraft Shipment and Billing Report on Tuesday. The association reports that the first nine months of 2025 saw increases in aircraft shipment value and business jet shipments compared to the same period in 2024. The total value of airplane deliveries through the quarter was $19.4 billion, which is an increase of 13.2% compared to 2024. Individually, business jets had the most growth in deliveries with a 10.6% increase. Piston deliveries had the smallest increase of 0.4% and turboprop deliveries decreased by 6%. In total, 2,201 planes were delivered during the first nine months of 2025 and 2,169 were delivered in the same period of 2024, meaning an increase of 1.5%. Piston helicopters decreased by 3.9%, dropping from 155 delivered in the first nine months of 2024 to 149 delivered in 2025. Turbine helicopters also dropped from 478 to 463 helicopters delivered, equaling a 3.1% decrease. Total helicopter deliveries decreased by 3.3%, but total helicopter billings increased by 16%, jumping from $2.7 billion to $3.1 billion. Bombardier earned $4.6 billion, Textron earned $2.6 billion and Embraer earned $1.7 billion. Airbus Helicopters earned the most in the helicopter market, with $1.5 billion earned with 208 deliveries.
