Signature Aviation opens newly renovated terminal in North Carolina

Signature Aviation announced on August 11 that it has opened a newly renovated facility at Smith Reynolds Airport (INT) in Winston-Salem. The updated facility features several new amenities for guests including quiet rooms, an outdoor seating area, an expanded coffee station, a business center with flight planning stations and a crew lounge with an amenities bar. It is located in the new terminal at INT and is nearly 3,000 sq ft. The renovation integrated multiple historical details into the design. An original mural from when the building was built in 1941 is featured in the terminal. The main lobby includes a replica 1930 Savoia Marchetti S-56 aircraft, which was used by Zachary Smith Reynolds during his 17,000-mile circumnavigation in 1931. "The terminal is more than just a building - it's a gateway to our community," said Mark Davidson, airport director of Smith Reynolds Airport. "For many, the space is the first and last impression they have of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, and I am thankful for our partnership with Signature Aviation to make that experience unforgettable." In celebration of the terminal's refurbishment, Signature Aviation will contribute additional donations to ACE Academy, as well as sponsor 10 students for the academy's summer camp. Signature states it will later unveil facility updates at Raleigh-Durham and Palm Beach.
