Qatar Airways will be opening its first dedicated lounge in the U.S. at the New Terminal One at the John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
The airline has been named Skytrax's World's Best Airline for nine years in a row. It states that the move reflects the strategic importance of New York City in its global network. The exclusive lounge will feature VIP check-in services, relaxation zones, prayer rooms, children's play areas, premium dining options, and duty-free shopping for Qatar Airways Business Class passengers.
The U.S. operations started at JFK in 2008 at Terminal 8. Its network spans 11 different locations and serves more than 3 million passengers a year. Operations at Terminal One and the 15,000 sq ft lounge are planned to open in 2026.
