Duncan Aviation completes monochromatic Global 5000 interior refurbishment

Duncan Aviation announced the completion of the interior refurbishment on a Global 5000. The company states that the new interior now exudes modern sophistication and reflects quiet luxury with textures and functionality. Duncan Aviation Designer Jaime Blanken created a curated palette and selected materials based on the owner's color preferences and reference imagery. Senior Completions and Modifications Sales Representative Matt Spain met with the owner to ensure Blanken's selections matched the vision for the aircraft. The cabin takes on a monochromatic color scheme. The seat coverings are custom-fabricated and made of both wool-blend fabric and leather. Duncan Aviation states that the mix of fabrics offers more comfort than all leather seats. The lower side walls were done in an embossed tipped leather, but the upper sidewalls, PSU and headliner were kept a light gray. The galley now has a stone-replicating vinyl tile flooring, while the rest of the cabin has a patterned carpet. Multiple features were made in-house. The main entry door steps feature stainless-steel step treads with a custom Duncan Aviation design and precision-machined neoprene rubber inlays made by Duncan Manufacturing Solutions. The sink had to be custom-made because of its unique size and shape, as there were no options available for purchase. Several layers of Corian were glued together and formed into a bowl, then it was bonded to the countertop. Other features include an upgraded flight deck, new veneer and countertops, custom storage and a one-of-a-kind credenza mechanism. Duncan said that the new interior provides a sophisticated, modern and welcoming experience. "The cabin was really outdated before," said Blanken. "Now, it's like walking into a luxury suite.
