?(Image from Eva Airlines website)EVA Air and Southwest Airlines announced on Tuesday that they have entered a new interline agreement effective immediately. The company states that the partnership connects participating gateway airports of both airlines.
Customers should now be able to book a single itinerary including flights operated by both carriers. They will be able receive boarding passes for all segments of their journey at the first point of departure.
"This partnership positions EVA Air for long-term growth in an evolving market by combining resources with Southwest Airlines," said Andrew Su, EVA Air America Head Office Executive Vice President. "Together, we're streamlining operations, connecting with a broader range of travelers, and responding more swiftly to changing market needs. Tickets are available through EVA Air's website, booking platforms or major travel agency platforms to major cities in the U.S. and Asia. Customers will be able to travel to 30 different destinations from gateways at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), the San Francisco International Airport (SFO), the Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and the Chicago Ohare International Airport (ORD).
