A Learjet 75 overran the runway on Tuesday afternoon at the Erechim Airport north of Rio Grande do Sul.
According to Aeroflap, the plane belongs to Cimed, a pharmaceutical company. Cimed's President, João Adibe Marques told Aeroflap that all the passengers and crew were safe and well. The video shows the plane landing on the wet runway and coming to rest in a field. According to G1 Rio Grande Do Sul, two crew members and three passengers were on board and after the incident, were conscious and taken for treatment. The local outlet reported that one woman suffered minor injuries, reporting abdominal pain and superficial cuts on her forehead and chest.
Aviation Safety Network reported that the landing gear was lost and the plane came to rest in the field at the end of the runway. The aircraft was substantially damaged. Investigators were sent from the 5th Regional Service for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents, according to G1 Rio Grande Do Sul.
"In the Initial Action, specific techniques are used, conducted by qualified and accredited personnel who carry out the collection and confirmation of data, the preservation of elements, the initial verification of damage caused to the aircraft, or by the aircraft, and the collection of other necessary information to the investigation," The Center for Research and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents told to G1 Rio Grande Do Sul.
