Unveiling the Fury M700 at Sun 'N Fun

Amidst the vibrant atmosphere of Sun 'N Fun, Piper proudly introduced the Fury M700, a testament to their relentless pursuit of innovation. With a promise to capture the hearts and souls of its users, this newest addition to Piper's lineup stands as the second fastest aircraft ever produced by the company, among its 134,000-strong fleet. At the heart of the Fury M700 lies the PT6A-52 Powerplant, renowned as the pinnacle of reliability and innovation in general aviation. This powerhouse, coupled with Piper's meticulous airframe design, propels the aircraft to cruise speeds of 300 KTAS and offers a staggering 30% increase in climb performance, granting pilots unprecedented control over 700 horsepower up to FL240.RELATED STORIES:Piper M700 FURY achieves FAA type certificationPiper Aircraft unveils new M700 FURYWhat sets the Fury M700 apart is not just its performance but its accessibility. Pilots with a PPL and a high-performance endorsement can relish the thrill of commanding this 6-seater aircraft. Moreover, its interior, a canvas of luxury and customization, offers a range of color palettes and materials to suit individual preferences. But beyond its sporty allure lies a commitment to safety that is second to none. The Halo Safety System, featuring Garmin Emergency Autoland, epitomizes this dedication. The autoland is a fully autonomous landing system and can be activated both manually or automatically. The system has capabilities to detect potential pilot incapacitation and provide a safe solution for all onboard the aircraft. For solo pilot operations, or when flying with passengers who do not have any flying experience, this can be a lifesaving feature. Recently, there was a pilot who suffered a medical emergency while piloting his Cirrus SR20 and the flight instructor performing the instrument proficiency check, who was not familiar with the SR20, had to land the plane. The system not only has the capabilities to notify ATC, flap extension, and gear extension, but it also considers factors such as runway length, time, current wind, and weather to determine a safe landing. Upon touch down, the breaks are applied and the engine will shut down automatically. This way the passengers can safely evacuate the aircraft. Moreover, the Fury M700 is equipped with hypoxia recognition capabilities, automatically descending above 14,001 feet to mitigate the effects of hypoxia. In the event of pilot non-response, the autoland feature kicks in, ensuring a safe descent and landing for all onboard. At Sun 'N Fun 2024, Piper showcased the 1,000th produced PA-46TP, adorned with the exquisite Galeras interior design. Wrapped in tanned leather and accented with warm browns, the interior exudes sophistication, complementing the aircraft's sleek exterior. People were lining up to get a glimpse inside the aircraft with its newly furbished Garmin G3000 avionics suite. This is noted as the most advanced avionics available for single-engine turboprop aircraft. Another safe feature tied into this aircraft is the 60/40 split mode. The PIC no longer has to divide attention between their lap containing the approach plate and the avionics in front of them. The display is a high-resolution, dual-touchscreen controller allowing the PIC to display the approach plate on screen, next to the instrument setup. These avionics are also now capable of displaying 3D SafeTaxi. Being up on the screen in front will keep the pilot's attention up and close to the external viewing. The Fury M700 is a pinnacle of Piper's meticulous craftsmanship and innovation, setting new standards in safety and performance in the general aviation market. From its exhilarating speeds to its luxurious interior, this aircraft is poised to leave an indelible mark on the skies
