Embraer's newest autothrottle feature will enhance its pilot-centric cockpit with the new advanced Prodigy Touch Flight Deck, based on the Garmin 3000 avionics suite. The new feature will be available as an optional item for the Phenom 300E and through a service bulletin for other in-service aircraft. Embraer announced the newest feature for the Phenom 300 series on Thursday.
Pilots will enjoy the automated and intuitive cockpit experience with the autothrottle's advanced automation technology. The technology will assist in throttle control during different phases of the flight. Passengers will enjoy the benefit of improved cabin comfort. The optional feature will be available for new Phenom 300E aircraft in the third quarter of 2024. Embraer is committed to supporting in-service aircraft through the service bulletin, available from the fourth quarter of 2024, for the aircraft that have received factory-incorporated provisions.
The latest improvement for the Phenom 300 series is a continuation of the jet family's leading performance, technology and comfort. The world's best-selling light jet for 11 years running is also the most-flown private jet in the U.S. with over 700 units in operation and over two million flight hours logged. The jet can reach Mach 0.80 and is equipped with top-of-the-line avionics, like the industry-first Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System, Emergency Descent Mode and coupled go-around.
"We are excited to introduce autothrottle to the Phenom 300E's avionics suite," said Michael Amalfitano, President andamp; CEO of Embraer Executive Jets. "It is another example of Embraer's mindset of continued improvement, listening to customers feedback and elevating an industry-leading product even further. Innovations like this enhance the experience and deliver even more value to operators. And that is why an aircraft like the Phenom 300E continues to offer the ultimate experience in its category."
