The FAA said both jets safely taxied back to the terminals where passengers exited normally and no injuries were reported.
A GoJet flight in a Bombardier CRJ-550 (N539GJ) and a SkyWest flight in a CRJ-200LR (N875AS) were waiting for gate space at O'Hare in the evening on Tuesday when the two planes came into contact on the taxiway. GoJet told AP News that its aircraft was parked waiting for a gate when its wing was clipped. Both SkyWest and GoJet reported that there were no injuries and maintenance staff were inspecting the aircraft. SkyWest, operating as United Express, reported that the contact occurred as the SkyWest aircraft was making a slow taxi to the gate.
"The crew immediately reported it to air traffic control, safely taxied to the gate and all passengers deplaned normally," GoJet told Fox News Digital in a statement. "There were no reported injuries and our maintenance team is inspecting the aircraft for damage."
The FAA reported that the two planes taxied safely back to terminals and the passengers exited the aircraft normally, without any injuries.
