In 1993, Aero-Dienst GmbH was appointed as a Recognized Maintenance Facility for the PT6, JT15 and PW300 engine series by Pratt andamp; Whitney Canada Customer Service Centre GmbH (Pandamp;WC CSC), making it one of the first European Pandamp;WC-recognized maintenance facilities.
Looking back at the 30-year business relationship between Aero-Dienst, Nuremberg's full-service provider for business aviation and air ambulance services, and Canadian engine manufacturer Pandamp;WC, it becomes clear how important practiced values such as trust, appreciation and a shared customer orientation are for mutual success.
In the early 1990s, Aero-Dienst operated two Hawker 1000s (PW305B) and a Beech KingAir350 (PT6A-60A), and their engines were maintained by Aero-Dienst's own Engine Team. In 1996, Aero-Dienst became a Pandamp;WC Premium Service Provider (PSP), and in June 2020 it was appointed as a Designated Maintenance Facility (DMF) for PW300 series engines.
"We're extremely proud of the 30 years of valuable and successful cooperation with Pratt andamp; Whitney Canada during which we've supported Pandamp;WC engines in Europe," says Andrea Weyrich, Manager Maintenance Engine Shop at Aero-Dienst. "Our highly trained and experienced Engine Team has made it possible to maintain such a high degree of quality over the years. Dennis Baker, Aero Dienst's licensed inspector for all PW300 engines, has been part of the Aero-Dienst family for over 30 years. He knows the Pandamp;WC engines down to the last bolt, and he has already supported over 250 various events for our Engine Shop throughout the world," Andrea Weyrich points out with pride. Dennis Baker adds: "All totaled, our team can boast 86 years of straight technical experience with Pandamp;WC engines -132 years including the admin staff."
For the last 16 years, Aero-Dienst has also carried out post-rental inspections (PRIs) for Pratt andamp; Whitney Canada on their lease engines that are used in a range of aircraft, such as the Dassault Falcon 7X and 8X and the Bombardier Learjet 60/60XR. During that time, the Nuremberg Engine Shop team has already carried out 455 inspections. Several hundred AOG and MRT support events have been completed over the years, with the Aero-Dienst team providing support to aircraft operators throughout Europe, as well as in Africa, Australia and the Near East.

In addition to its headquarters in Nuremberg, Aero-Dienst also operates a maintenance station in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, as well as two stations in Austria (Vienna and Klagenfurt). The component shop in Landsberg am Lech allows Aero-Dienst to provide fast and local repairs for maintenance operators in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
