Volatus Infrastructure, ResilienX plan to build vertiport in Oshkosh for AirVenture

Volatus Infrastructure andamp; Energy Solutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ResilienX to collaborate on the first eVTOL vertiport project at the Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the home of EAA AirVenture. With the MOU, announced to the public on Dec. 11, the two companies will work to provide infrastructure and safety systems for the emerging next-gen field of aviation. Volatus Infrastructure will engage ResilienX in providing its FRAIHMWORK solution as an "in-time aviation safety management system" capability. With new aircraft like eVTOL nearing entry into the market, the industry is preparing for a safe and smooth integration. Volatus has experience in manned aircraft operations, safety and compliance. The company was founded in 2021 and provides quality eVTOL infrastructure technology to prepare communities for the future of aviation. Volatus offers three modular vertiport designs and universal charging stations for electric vehicles in different modes of transport, including land, sea and air. The company works to adhere to the specific needs of the customer with the incorporation of new technology. According to FutureFlight, Volatus will break ground on a vertiport Touch ‘N Go pad in Oshkosh in the spring of 2023. "As a leader in reliable, affordable physical infrastructure for Advanced Air Mobility, we at VIandamp;E Solutions are keen to forge partnerships with leaders in robust digital infrastructure," Volatus CEO Dan Sloat said. "Ryan and Carter are dedicated professionals who understand that interoperability is absolutely essential. Leveraging the operational expertise of ResilienX will prove invaluable in the long run." As the world of next-gen aviation like eVTOLs and unmanned aircraft is evolving, so are the vertiports. Volatus Infrastructure offers a complex system rather than a concrete slab. With battery charging, surveillance, comms, weather sensors, networking equipment and digital infrastructure Volatus is allowing vertiports to become more manageable for direct operations and personnel. ResilienX monitors the health, integrity and performance of these systems and can plan for mitigations to act if unusual or adverse conditions occur. ResilienX is a leader in in-time aviation safety management systems. The company has developed a platform around fault tolerance, safety assurance and the maintenance of complex systems. "We are thrilled that VIandamp;E Solutions has put their trust in us to monitor the health and performance of this diverse ecosystem," ResilienX CEO Ryan Pleskach said. "We look forward to working through all of the edge cases which will give regulators and the public around the world confidence in VIandamp;E Solutions' emerging vertiport network."
