Daher shares success of 'Take Off 2027' strategic plan

Daher shared its 2023 financial results are in line with its five-year "Take Off 2027" strategic growth plan. One year after announcing the plan, Daher shares its progress toward strengthening its position as a large, profitable international company by 2027. Daher talks about successes like the creation of the Industrial Services division and significant revenue generation in the U.S. In 2023, Daher enjoyed a revenue of 1.65 billion euros, or USD 1.77 billion. In 2023 Daher began to implement a significant evolution to achieve the objectives of its Take Off 2027 plan and reach the goal of becoming "a large, profitable international company" by 2027. Daher created the Industrial Services division, effective as of Jan. 1, which has been the realization of the serious projects undertaken since July 2023 to integrate teams and activities of the Assistance Aéronautique et Aérospatiale (AAA) company that Daher acquired in 2023. With this acquisition, Daher has become a leader in the industrial services market and has more than 3,000 specialists, a presence in 11 countries and a revenue of over 270 million euros in 2023 and is able to support customers throughout the complete production cycle. Daher also reached a milestone in its goal to decarbonize the roadmap in 2023 with the first hybrid-electric flight of the EcoPulse demonstrator aircraft, developed with Airbus and Safran. One goal is to bring hybrid-electric aircraft to market by 2027, positioning Daher as a player in the sustainable and responsible aviation of the future. In 2023 Daher also initiated the transformation of its managerial culture through the deployment of the Daher Leadership Model to 1,500 executives and managers. These executives and managers now share the same management principles across the group. Additionally, during the 12 months, Daher trained over 410 new employees for technical aeronautical-sector jobs. Daher also launched a new project, called D#, with a goal to create four major legal structures, one for each of the company's business lines, and each with a general director who will have all the means to autonomously manage their activities based on the specifics of the operating environment, including human resources, training, business, investment and certification. Daher said D# will be implemented in two years and will be fully in place by the end of 2025. The Executive Committee celebrated change with the introduction of four new members. On Oct 1, 2023 Alain-Jory Barthe joined Daher to head the Industry Division; on Jan. 1 Cédric Eloy joined Daher to head the new Industrial Services Division; Julie de Cevins became the Chief Sustainability Officer and as of Feb. 1 Aymeric Daher was heading the Logistics Division. Daher hopes to embrace the challenges 2024 brings and expects the new year should continue the same dynamics as 2023, continuing the same demand and challenges of increased production rates. One year after launching its strategic plan, Daher has met its objectives and continues to grow with a recruitment rate of 15 percent in 2023 and the creation of the Industrial Services division as its fourth business. The company has ambitious prospects for 2024 in terms of human resources, decarbonization, innovation and growth.RELATED STORY:Daher keeps pace in 2023, extends backlog into 2025 "The supply chain's fragility has a strong impact on the ability to deliver our aircraft and the parts that we produce for our customers. This is a key challenge for 2024, and we are geared up to meet it," Daher CEO Didier Kayat said. " Improving our profitability is imperative - it is at the heart of our strategic plan - but the inflationary context considerably complicates the situation. The entire sector must question itself on the issue of pricing: it is a crucial subject which conditions the future. As a result of the renewed confidence from our historic investors, we already have secured our cash flow needs with a confirmed RCF (revolving credit facility) credit line of 250 million euros. And finally, we are continuing to recruit - as employees are our driving force, and they are the key link for the innovation of tomorrow."
