Bombardier Global 7500 sets over 30 speed records

On Monday Bombardier celebrated the Global 7500 setting more impressive speed records, bringing the jet's total to over 30. Recently, the Global 7500 traveled from Farnborough to Murraq and Phoenix to Paris, adding another set of accomplishments to a leader in the ultra-long-range class. The recent records are pending approval by the FAI, the World Air Sport Federation, and build upon earlier speed and distance records the Global 7500 has achieved. These records include an 8,225 nautical mile flight in October 2019 from Sydney, Australia to Detroit, Michigan, marking the longest-range flight ever completed in business aviation. The Global 7500 set over 20 new flight records in the fall of 2023, including routes from Singapore to Anchorage, Alaska and Montreal to Geneva. "The Global 7500 aircraft is in a class by itself when it comes to performance - an immaculate business jet that was made to set and shatter records," said Jean-Christophe Gallagher, Executive Vice President, of Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Defense. "With its impeccable design attributes and technological advancements, the Global 7500 aircraft offers customers precisely what they need to enhance their operations - unmatched reliability, productivity and style." The impressive jet has a top speed of Mach 0.925 and an industry-leading range of 7,700 nautical miles. The Global 7500 has incredible performance capabilities. The Smooth Flex Wing was designed with a slats and flaps system to generate exceptional lift on takeoff and approach, maximizing aerodynamic efficiency and improving performance while enhancing safety, offering passengers a smoother and more restful ride. The Global 7500 reduced fuel burn and lowers emissions, producing excellent short-field and high-speed performance. The Global 7500 boasts impressive performance as well as an equally impressive cabin design. The spacious interior features four living spaces, a full-size equipped kitchen and a dedicated crew suite. The jet's interior offers passengers the ultimate in-flight experience. The jet features innovative design elements, setting a benchmark for exceptional cabin interiors in business aviation, including Bombardier's patented Nuage seat that features the industry's first zero-gravity position. Bombardier celebrated the speed records and also shared that the attributes of the Global 7500 will be enhanced with the introduction of the Global 8000. The Global 8000 was introduced in 2022 and will have an industry-leading range of 8,000 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.94. The ultimate all-in-one business aircraft will also feature the healthiest cabin in the industry thanks to Bombardier's Pur Air and advanced HEPA filter technology, providing passengers with the cleanest cabin air and the fastest fresh air replacement. The Global 8000 also features the lowest cabin altitude of 2,900 feet when flying at 41,000 feet, lower than any business jet today. Bombardier's Global 8000 development is ongoing and the program is progressing as expected. For current Global 7500 operators, the enhancements included on the Global 8000 will be retrofittable when the aircraft enters into service. The Global 8000 is expected to enter into service in 2025 and will be a future-proof investment and the flagship for today and tomorrow. The recent Global 7500 flight record from Farnborough to Muharraq was set by charter company Catreus and the record from Phoenix to Paris was set by charter firm Phenix Jet Cayman. These accomplishments have affirmed the proven attributes of these class-leading aircraft, transforming business aviation with a refined design, unsurpassed performance and technological advancements.
