An established Part 135 aviation operator is hiring an experienced Director of Maintenance (DOM) to lead its aircraft maintenance program. The DOM will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of airworthiness for its three (3) helicopter fleet. This is position reports directly to the President of the corporation.

The DOM will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of airworthiness for its three (3) helicopter fleet. This is position reports directly to the President of the corporation.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide oversight for all aircraft maintenance activities, including scheduled and
unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications.
• Ensure all maintenance personnel are properly trained, certified, and current in accordance with
FAA regulations and company standards.
• Maintain all aircraft in a continuous state of airworthiness, ensuring inspections, repairs, and
component replacements are performed in accordance with manufacturer’s approved procedures.  
• Ensure strict compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), for Airworthiness including Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Service Letters (SLs), and company maintenance procedures.
• Manage and maintain aircraft records, digital maintenance tracking systems, MEL management, and compliance documentation accountability.
• Coordinate closely with flight operations leadership to align maintenance scheduling with
operational demands and aircraft readiness.
• Serve as the primary liaison with FAA inspectors, manufacturers, parts vendors, and third-party
maintenance providers, ensuring timely communication and regulatory conformity.
• Responsible for the hiring, supervision, and, when necessary, termination of maintenance
personnel to ensure optimal performance in coordination with the President. 
• Have strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Word, aircraft
technical publications, maintenance tracking software, and the interpretation of FAA regulatory
documents.
