The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspections on various helicopters as required, operating in compliance with the FAA, Sterling’s Repair Station Manual, and company safety practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of helicopters or helicopter parts during modification, installation, or overhaul, to determine airworthiness, safety, and conformance to approved data and company standards and requirements
- Review work order squawk resolutions for compliance with FAA regulations and established company policies
- Ensure continuity of inspection, assuring completion of required inspection when personnel, shift or assignment changes occur
- Inspection of incoming and outgoing parts for condition and serviceability
- Ensure that work order squawk resolutions are adequate for the work accomplished and that preliminary inspections are accomplished on applicable articles
- Perform logbook research and entries
- Perform in-process inspections
- Final inspection and approval to return an article or aircraft to service
- Perform other duties as assigned
