Weyerhaeuser's Western Timberlands Division has an opening for a full-time truck driver/equipment operator, with duties performed in an aircraft hangar as well as a forest environment. In addition to supporting equipment maintenance, you will have responsibilities related to helicopter projects during all seasons of the year.
Weyerhaeuser Company owns and operates two Bell Helicopters (212HP and 206L-4), based in Eugene, Oregon and Chehalis, Washington. Weyerhaeuser Aviation has taken an active role in company flight operations since 1947. Our Helicopters support company timberlands/forestry operations in Oregon and Washington under FAR Part 91, 133 and 137, focusing primarily on stewardship of timberlands through fire suppression, fertilization, spraying and forestry recon. Our Helicopter operation is supported by company personnel, including pilots, aircraft mechanics and aviation ground support technicians.
Although most projects are within the local area, applicants must be willing to do occasional overnight travel while working on flight operations away from the main base. Some projects do require weekend work. Between projects, helicopters and equipment are maintained at the company hangar at Mahlon Sweet Airport in Eugene, Oregon, and Chehalis, Washington.
