A Brief OverviewThe nature of the air-medical mission requires that the Helicopter Mechanic have the aircraft mission ready so as to be able to move a specialty care transport team and patient safely and expeditiously. Is responsible for performing aircraft maintenance (daily, scheduled, and unscheduled) inspections. Will be responsible for maintaining the aviation facilities (helipad/hangar). The Mechanic must consistently project a positive image of the institution when dealing with the FAA, physicians, patients, employees, and the public. The Mechanic is responsible for the overall safe and efficient conduct of maintenance on the aircraft. Must have a good working knowledge of the company Operational Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manual, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, and any other documents pertinent to Careflight specific aircraft. Will be required to travel to all Careflight bases/locations and work on all Careflight aircraft at the discretion of leadership.
