Island Helicopters Kauai, Inc. is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to provide aircraft maintenance on the island of Kauai. Qualified applicants interested in working with Island Helicopters’ fleet of Airbus AS-350 (AStar) aircraft out of their new hangar facility at the Lihue Heliport, are encouraged to apply.
The A&P Mechanic Position Responsibilities:
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company’s fleet of aircrafts.
- Have exceptional communication skills with operations, pilots and maintenance team members.
- Comply with FAA and Island Helicopters’ policies, procedures, expectations and regulations.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 65 pounds without assistance.
- Perform high quality maintenance by use of proper procedures, tools, communication, documentation, and skills.
- Keep facilities, equipment, and aircraft in clean and orderly condition.
- Ability to use reference materials such as manufacturer and maintenance manuals, and technical documentation.
- Responsible for keeping records of maintenance performed, adhering to FAA and company, regulations, policy and procedures (including Part 135).
