Founded in
1980, Hillsboro Aviation offers complete helicopter and airplane services
comprised of five divisions: contract & charter, aircraft sales &
management, service center, FBO, and parts sales. Serving domestic and
international markets in the government, commercial, and private sectors, we
have over 85 employees and 10 turbine aircraft. We operate out of our
award-winning headquarters at the Portland-Hillsboro Airport (KHIO).

The Position
As an FAA Certified 145 Repair
Station, Hillsboro Aviation supports comprehensive maintenance and avionics
needs. From privately owned airplanes and helicopters to corporate fleet
management, we serve private, commercial, and government interests. Our
full-service location supports avionics, unscheduled and scheduled services,
heavy maintenance, and AOG emergencies. Our factory-trained mechanics and
avionics technicians boast an average of over 20 years of experience.
As Avionics Manager, you will work closely
with the Service Center Maintenance and Fleet Maintenance teams to manage
avionics projects while ensuring safety, quality, regulatory compliance,
customer satisfaction, employee development, and profitability.
Job Responsibilities
The Avionics Manager reports to the
Service Center Manager and will be responsible for the following job duties,
including but not limited to:

This position has direct supervisory
responsibilities of the avionics team; currently 3 full-time avionics
technicians with plans to grow the team to 6 technicians.
- Project
Management of Service Center and Fleet Avionics work including:
- Quoting
of initial scope of work and change orders
- Customer
communication throughout the project
- Ensuring
that quality of work and regulatory compliance is paramount in all work
performed
- Final
delivery of aircraft to customer
- Leading
the process of troubleshooting and repair of customer/fleet aircraft
during AOG situations
