RECRUITMENT NOTES

This position will report to the Bureau Officer in Charge and will reside within the Air Rescue Bureau at Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. Tasks include the following:

· Supervises pilots

· Supervises designated Pilot Instructors or Check Airmen

· Assists the Bureau Officer in Charge in formulating operations policies, coordinates policies, and coordinates operations/training

· As authorized by the Bureau Officer in Charge, may exercise authority over initiation, conduct, and termination of flights

· Submits all reports regarding flight personnel to the Bureau Officer in Charge

· Maintains proficiency as Pilot-in-Command

· Assumes the duties of a Check Airman

· Ensures that all aircraft are properly equipped for applicable operations

· Disseminates information to all pilots pertaining to routes, airports, NOTAMS, NAVAIDS, company policies, and regulations

· Ensures that all flight crew personnel are certified and supervised according to the requirements specified in the Federal Aviation Regulations

· Prepares and maintains proficiency records, pilot files, flight training schedules, duty time records, reports, and correspondence pertaining to flight operations activities

· Additional administrative duties as assigned by the Bureau Officer in Charge
